GRC #600

Dear Dean,
We want to let you know how much we appreciate all the efforts made by you and your employees in building and locating our dream cabin in the trees. It is better than we could ever imagine.
Our story with Green River Cabins began upon noticing your company’s sign in Campobello on a trip to Bat Cave, North Carolina. From our first meeting with you and seeing the quality of workmanship that went into the cabins on the lot, we were convinced this is what we wanted. The dovetailed corners, exposed timber beam ceilings, beautiful knotty pine wood interior, gable window options, and general layout impressed us no end. You were involved in every step of the process, always available and willing to answer questions, make changes to the floor plan, and offer suggestions and invaluable input. You always handled our many change orders with patience and a “no detail is too small” attitude. We became more excited as we watched the progress of the cabin on the cabin cams and were greeted by the industrious shop crew on the occasional visit (whose work on the cabin was done quickly, expertly, and with much attention to detail), and we were thrilled to see the completed product on the lot. The hauler you commissioned had to navigate steep mountain roads with switchbacks, and against great odds he expertly situated the cabin next to the foundation prior to craning.
The location of our property above 3,000 feet presented certain challenges because of 110-mph wind zone requirements, and since we wanted space for a workshop/garage, we used a crane to set the cabin on a block foundation. You were happy to interface with our site engineer to ensure everything was where it needed to be in a project such as this, and because of your concern for the critical details, the setting of the cabin was executed flawlessly, saving us considerable time and money we could have incurred had things gone awry.
All of the contractors referred by you, from grading and septic to masonry and electrical, were exceedingly professional and timely. When we had our kitchen addition built on site, the roofing crew did a terrific job of making the transition seamless. Your cabinet builder is also to be commended. Bill did a beautiful job on our kitchen cabinets and provided other custom items at our request to make efficient use of space. Our clean-air Fujitsu heating and cooling system, which you recommended for our particular application, has provided us with unsurpassed comfort (and kudos to Joe for a great job on installation!).
Most of all, the on-site construction crew, led by Derek, built our kitchen and spacious decks, working long hours at an astonishing pace. To say they were phenomenal is an understatement. It isn’t often that contractors become like friends (or in this case, family), but Derek, Steve, and Charles were so much fun we hated to see them go. They took pride in their work and went out of their way to make sure every finished detail was accomplished to our satisfaction. Much of our time is spent on the front deck enjoying the natural surroundings, and we are in constant admiration of the work that went into its completion.
Now that we have been in our cabin for four months, we cannot say enough about how beautiful, comfortable, and cozy it is, how it offers spectacular views from every window and porch, and how it has opened up a new world to us for being one with nature. We have received overwhelmingly complimentary comments from friends and family and recommend your company to anyone considering something similar. Green River Cabins is “beyond all” when it comes to value, quality, and customer service. One of the qualities that most impressed us about you is that your commitment to customer service doesn’t end when the cabin is complete. Case in point: During a lunch meeting two months after we moved into our cabin, you pulled out a pad of paper and inquired, “How can we improve on our product and what were our lessons learned?” To us this suggests a true professional who is dedicated to getting it right.
We are currently in the planning stages of adding one of your super-loft studio cabins to a covered breezeway connected to our primary cabin and eagerly anticipate working with you and your construction crew once more.
Thanks again,
Dave and Claudia
